Announced in 2018, Wasteland Remastered is a major upgrade to the original 80s RPG. Originally slated for release last year, the game will finally hit Steam, GOG, and the Windows store on February 25 (and will also be released for Xbox One).

The game's visuals are a nice upgrade, and while it's certainly not "Wasteland 3," it should make the game more enjoyable for those who don't like clunky pixels The following comparison posted last year by Brian Fargo, InXile's studio head screenshots are the only indication of the game's look so far.

The game will be a cool prelude to Wasteland 3, which is scheduled to launch on May 19. The game raised over $3 million in crowdfunding in 2016 and is a nice step up from Wasteland 2, at least graphically.
