Free Survival Horror "Alisa" is a killer doll and biohazard

If "Resident Evil" were set in a doll's house, it might be like "Alisa Awakening". It just replaces the zombies with murderous life-sized forms, keeps the gunfights and puzzles, and is set in a similarly creepy mansion.

Compared to many indie survival horror titles, this one seems more like a fully developed (albeit demo) game than a prototype, with voice acting, item puzzles, and even an introductory CGI video to set the scene. Yes, it looks more like a cheap PS1 game than anything Capcom has put its name to, but it is clear that a lot of effort has been put into Alisa.

Despite the "Resident Evil" references, it actually reminds me of some of the survival horror of the PS2 era, such as "Rules of Rose" and "Hunting Ground." If you're nostalgic for the glory days of survival horror, and if you don't mind tank manipulation, you've probably already downloaded this free demo. (Ta, Alpha Beta Gamer.)
