Enter a world of dense atmosphere in the free horror "Chronotopophobia"!

Save yourself the trouble of Googling: chronotopophobia is a developer invented term that suggests a fear of time and place rather than a perceived fear.

If you've played Bitsy's games, you have an idea of what to expect. It is a mechanically streamlined, low-resolution browser game that focuses on exploration and conversation and narration, and the environments and sprites may be difficult to decipher. Backgrounds are monochrome but detailed and legible, and there is a rich and engrossing soundscape that fills in the visual gaps.

This is a very atmospheric horror game. Its haunting landscapes and cosmic existentialism place it somewhere between Lynch and Lovecraft. As you explore the cavernous underworld, characters spout poetic, half-coherent monologues. At some point, you'll either get stuck, as I did, or you'll know what to do next. Either way, you will enjoy the descent into terrifying territory.

When you're ready, dive into "chronotopophobia" from here.
