Now we know where all the colors went in the Unreal Engine 3 era, pinching in and stored in the underground facility you'll explore in "Remnants. How else to explain the vivid, possibly forbidden color palette of this gorgeous top-down adventure game?
"Remnants" was created in RPG Tskool, but it stands apart from other games thanks to its promise that "every room in the game is drawn from scratch, pixel by pixel." Ah, that's why each room looks so nice, messy, and custom-made. It's because each room is painstakingly drawn over time and packed with details and items to examine. They even have unique Jet Set Willie-esque names.
Also, there is no combat. Instead, you will be exploring each floor of this strange establishment, picking up items and finding uses for them, adventure game style. Horror and science fiction are blended together in this strange and imaginatively desolate zone. As you dive deeper and deeper underground, you will see remnants of a world gone by.
