We knew it was coming: Death Stranding will be released on PC on June 2.
Death Stranding has been out on PS4 for a few months now, so the basics are already well known. Sam Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, travels through a wasteland devastated by a mysterious creature unleashed by a series of mysterious explosions across the planet. Your job is simple: reconnect the shattered world and save humanity from imminent destruction.
The PC version of Norman's Babysitting and Package Delivery Adventures will include a "high frame rate," photo mode, support for ultra-wide monitors, and content from the "Half-Life" game as seen in the trailer (honestly, is this really "Norman Freeman's" hat, or if it's just a gag). And yes, "Half-Life" content will be included on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
An extended soundtrack with 10 previously unreleased tracks will also be included with every game, as well as a digital art book and in-game cosmetics that are unlocked through game progression. More cosmetics and HD wallpapers are available for pre-purchase.
Death Stranding initially seemed a bit odd (no, really odd), but after its release on PS4 in November 2019, it quickly garnered critical acclaim, including multiple award nominations at The Game Awards and DICE. it's a shame it wasn't released on PC. Although, we found other ways to pass the time, some of which were worthwhile, others, well, a little less so.
Death Stranding is available for pre-order on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $60/£55/€60.
