Anno 1800" will be available again this year with DLC, free for the weekend.
[The good news is that Ubisoft Blue Byte will continue to make DLC for a second year starting this month. In addition, a free weekend campaign will be offered to celebrate reaching 1 million players in December.

The first DLC, Seat of Power, which will be available as part of the Second Pass, allows you to build a fancy palace. It's a modular building that allows you to place different departments that offer passive bonuses and choose policies to adjust your city, coming March 24.

In the summer, the Bright Harvest DLC will bring modernity to the field. Using the technological advances of the Industrial Revolution, it will be possible to create more advanced farms, such as the tractor module, which will increase productivity while reducing the number of workers.

Land of Lions appears to be the most important DLC of the season, introducing a new continent and a new storyline. Head to the African-inspired arid lands and help Emperor Ketema keep them dry with a new irrigation system. It will also have a profound effect on what happens back in the old world, according to Ubisoft Blue Byte.

All DLC comes with free updates, starting with update 7, which adds three difficulty levels to the influence system; the 6.3 update was also released today and includes a free ornament to celebrate the player count milestone.

Season Pass 2 is available now on Uplay and the Epic Games Store. The announcement also adds that it will be available on Steam, presumably returning this year. Prior to its release, the game was available on Steam, but was pulled after an exclusivity deal with Epic.

This free weekend will allow players to play Anno 1800 from March 12-15. See the map below for the start and end dates.
