BioWare is developing a new film in one of its "most prestigious franchises"

BioWare is hiring for the next big title in "one of its most celebrated franchises," a job posting on EA's website reveals (hat tip, Segment Next).

The company's Edmonton office is looking for a technical director for "AAA multiplayer games on PC or consoles" to work on new games as well as the studio's overall projects.

No further details are given in the job ad, but it would not be surprising if it is related to the new "Mass Effect" game; in November, longtime BioWare producer of "Mass Effect 2," "Mass Effect 3" and "Andromeda" There were reports that the next installment of the long-lived series was in development at the Edmonton studio under the direction of Mike Gamble, the longtime producer of "Mass Effect 2," "Mass Effect 3," and "Andromeda. Multiplayer has played a major role in previous "Mass Effect" installments, so it's a perfect fit for this one as well.

It is also certainly one of the company's "most prestigious franchises," and BioWare general manager Casey Hudson confirmed last year that it is in production at the Edmonton studio. We'll keep an eye out for new developments.
