If you've created the nicest farmland in "Stardew Valley," found the handsomest spouse, grown the most delicious turnips, and now want another life-sim to wrap you up in for the next few months, you should try "Verdant Village."
This is a very early alpha demo. Verdant Village is a life simulation game focused on farming, but with a medieval fantasy twist. It's like stepping into a JRPG, but instead of embarking on a great adventure, you decide to stay in the town where you started.
Naturally, there are tools, trees, shrubs, and livestock. And since this is a fantasy game, there are quests, alchemy, and a king who rewards washed-up sailors with a free house to live in.
There aren't many houses to enter at the moment, but you can fish, mine, plant plants, and organize your dilapidated home. That should suffice while developer Exodus works on the rest of the game.
