General
Planet Zoo's South America DLC is now available, adding 5 new animals.

The latest DLC for Planet Zoo has been released, adding five new South American-inspired animals and many new landscapes to the zoo building sim.

The South America pack adds a jaguar, llama, anteater, red-eyed tree frog, and capuchin monkey to the animal mix, and 250 new Aztec and jungle-inspired landscape pieces to your zoo. Players are already hard at work creating creative habitats, such as the ancient temple of Zoofrensa for the capuchin monkey.

The South America Pack is the second DLC for Planet Zoo, following the Arctic Pack released last December. Unlike that release, this DLC unfortunately does not include any new scenario missions.

Concurrently with the DLC, a free 1.2 update for Planet Zoo was released, fixing many bugs in the game and adding many new features. The update includes a new Genealogy tab that allows you to view your animal's family tree and a new difficulty setting. Adjusting the difficulty level affects how fast animals are stressed, how fast guests learn from educational sources, and how fast staff members get tired.

Other features of the update include new enrichment items and new glass pieces for zoo habitat creation; for the full 1.2 update, visit the official Planet Zoo website.
