P.T. remade with old Mac tool HyperCard
[Myst" was created by using HyperCard to warp players from one static image to another (and further fleshing out the world by using video files). created by using HyperCard to make the player warp from one static image to another (and further fleshing out its world by using video files).

Recently, there has been an encouraging resurgence of HyperCard, from Eliot Gardepe's Hypercard Framework to the piles of old HyperCard works preserved in the Internet Archive.

It's a fairly faithful recreation of Konami's P.T., with a few minor changes. At least, I can say that after just a few minutes of playing. Those familiar with the complex to-do list of the original downloadable version will understand how it unfolds once they solve a few of its arcane and ritualistic puzzles. But the iconic corridor is there, and it is photographed in striking detail, taking advantage of its low-resolution, black-and-white nature.

There is something about old technology that blends beautifully with the horror genre, so recreating "P.T." with 33-year-old development tools is a very sensible idea. Hyper P.T." has ties not only to "P.T.," but also to older Macintosh games like "Uninvited. Hyper P.T." has ties not only to "P.T." but also to older Macintosh games like "Uninvited. (which comes bundled with a Mac emulator), and when you play this game, you will experience a wicked blend of the past and the present. It's pretty wild and freely available from itch.io if you're interested (thanks to Warp Door)
