Resident Evil 3 Remake" ships 2 million units in 5 days

Look at Nemesis over there. Five days after the release of "Resident Evil 3," Capcom announced that the remake of "Resident Evil 3" has shipped 2 million units across all platforms. What's more, nearly 50% of those units were sold digitally. Sales have probably increased even more since 10 days have passed since April 3, the release date of "Resi 3".

How do these numbers compare to Capcom's remake of "Resident Evil 2"? That one shipped 3 million units in its first week, so the numbers for this trilogy seem to be a bit lower.

But how do these numbers compare to the original "Resident Evil 3" released in 1999? In the same report, Capcom's numbers person stated that "a total of 3.5 million units have been sold. So, unless there is a very steep drop, it seems likely that the shiny new remake will overtake it.

Speaking of which, are you enjoying the new game? Andy doesn't seem to be enjoying "Resident Evil 3 Remake" very much.

Thanks, VG247.
