In Super Mega Baseball 3, teams can be imported from Super Mega Baseball 2.

Some of you, like me, may have spent hours building an in-depth team in Super Mega Baseball 2. I modeled my team after my colleagues at PC Gamer, and we made it through one season (although we lost in the playoffs when our star pitcher, Tyler Wild, suffered a line drive to the ribs and was placed on the disabled list).

I've even handcrafted teams of video game heroes and villains and pitted them against each other; what else is there to say about Andrew Ryan in Bioshock delivering an inside fastball to Chell in Portal? That's the kind of fan fiction I need. [As much as I'm looking forward to the release of "Super Mega Baseball 3," I'm a little disappointed that I won't be able to customize my favorite team and will have to rebuild my favorite team from scratch. Thankfully, Metalhead Software is working on an import tool that will allow players to bring their SMB2 rosters into SMB3

. They are "in the process of researching ways to carry over that hard work into the new game.

Great news! Hopefully Tyler's ribs will heal during the off-season. The import tools will arrive "shortly after the release of Super Mega Baseball 3."

Thanks, Polygon.
