New Season Pass for "Civilization 6" Includes Six DLC Packs

Civilization 6 launched in 2016, but 2K Games isn't done yet. Today the publisher announced the New Frontier Pass, a Civ 6 season pass that will deliver six new DLC packs to be released every other month, starting with the Maya and Gran Colombia pack on May 21.

The Maya and Gran Colombia pack adds new buildings and units, new city-states, resources, natural wonders, and a new Apocalypse game mode that brings all kinds of environmental fun to your civilization, including meteor showers, asteroid impacts, massive forest fires, and even solar flares! unleashed.

Following this pack, the Ethiopia pack will be released in July, adding a new civilization (guess which one) and leader, new districts and infrastructure, and a new secret society mode. With the additional packs, the total amount of new content will be eight new civilizations, nine leaders, six new game modes, and more. The New Frontier Pass will sell for $40 and DLC packs can be purchased individually. Purchasing the pass also gets the Teddy Roosevelt and Catherine de Medici persona packs, which offer new leader models and backgrounds, new gameplay bonuses, and an updated agenda for the American and French leaders. The Persona Pack will be released in July along with the Ethiopia DLC.

In between DLC releases, Firaxis and 2K will continue to release free updates for Civ 6, including new maps, scenarios and balance updates for all players. For more information, visit civilization.com.
