One of my favorite things to do in Sea of Thieves is to do Tall Tales, which are complex multi-part adventures that make up the backbone of the game's story. If you stop halfway through, you lose all progress and rewards. For players who cannot afford to spend hours on a single session, this is not a good thing. Especially when it comes to some of the boss fights, it can be very tedious.

Thankfully, the new "Lost Treasures" update adds checkpoints, allowing you to leave in the middle of an adventure and return later. New tall-tale tooltips on the map will also improve life on the open sea by making it easier to keep track of where you're going and what you're doing.

Lost Treasures will add daily bounties, with gold and doubloons rewarded according to the difficulty of the task: you may have to kill skeletons, or get drunk and vomit on the floor (developer Rare, in the video pointed out that the daily bounty reset time is a bit off: it's actually 12:00 AM UTC, which is 1:00 AM BST/5:00 PM PDT the day before).

New recurring events will also make it easier to earn money: every day between 10 and 11 am PT and 6 and 7 pm PT, players can earn extra gold by cashing in their loot.

New time-limited events are also planned. Players can earn ancient coins by submitting Ruby Splashtails to Hunter's Call, and Reaper's Bones will offer bonus rewards, including new emotes, for Reaper's Chests and Bounties Starting June 10, A new Blighted Ship set will also be offered to players who complete the Blighted Bonus event for multiple trading companies inspired by the zombie survival game State of Decay. All ongoing events can be followed on the new Sea of Thieves event hub.
