Quake-like FPS "Wrath": Aeon of Ruin delayed to 2021

Quake-flavored retro shooter Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is really good. Fast, flashy, and bloody, it manages to get a modern feel while incorporating a wonderfully old-school aesthetic, debuting on two levels in Steam Early Access in late 2019, with a full release planned for summer 2020.

However, the Steam page also warns that the developers want to "perfect the game" before release, which could take some time. That's how it is: 3D Realms announced today that the release date is set for February 25, 2021.

In better news, "Wrath" received its second major content update today, adding new weapons, new enemies, and another level.

3D Realms also released a new Wrath roadmap (wroadmap?): a "big content surprise" in August or September, a third content update on December 22nd, and three hub worlds, 15 levels, 9 weapons, 10 artifacts, 15 enemies and bosses, and much more.

In keeping with the whole "retro" theme, 3D Realms has also announced a limited "Founder's Edition Big Box" that includes a CD-ROM copy of the game, soundtrack, art book, USB drive, figure, poster, and some stickers. So if you want one, don't delay: according to 3DR, only 500 will be made, and more than 200 have already been pre-ordered.
