Fortnite Item Shop Season 2 Final Skin is Basically Mysterio

The Fortnite Device event (the doomsday event that ends Season 2 and launches Fortnite Season 3) is almost here, and Epic has one last snazzy new look for you: the Cyclo skin is available in the item store now, but will soon be gone. Here's what's going on.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Marvel has struck another crossover deal with Fortnite. Its skin looks a lot like the classic Spider-Man villain Mysterio, complete with a fishcake-shaped mask and stuntman's suit. Add to that the bursts of electricity drifting around the body, and maybe it's a strange electro skin.

But in fact, it seems that the Cyclo skin was actually unveiled a few weeks ago when Fortnite data miners discovered a new loading screen. The image shows Midas sullenly gazing at the same suit propped up in a glass case, with a woman (pictured on Midas's desk) on the glass.

After all, it appears that Midas will use this suit in some way to carry out his doomsday device event, which is literally coming up today at 11:00 AM Pacific Standard Time.

Cyclo's skin can be found in the Fortnite item store for a whopping 2,000 V-bucks, or roughly US$18-20.

There is also a cape sold separately, but Epic seems to have made it unusable for now.

We will have more on the Fortnite Device event later today.
