Concept art for "Cyberpunk 2077" reveals Westbrook, playground of the wealthy.

You won't be able to play in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City until November, but you can still get a taste of the mega-city with the gorgeous concept art that CD Projekt Red has released on Twitter.

The latest art exhibit is about Westbrook, apparently the nicest place to live in Night City. The district is home to some of the city's celebrities and corporate bigwigs. The really rich bastards live in North Oak. The area of Westbrook used to be crime ridden, but is now a nice and safe place to live thanks to expensive private security teams patrolling the streets.

While there are no gangs in North Oak, there are still many criminals in Westbrook. On Charter Hill, a copo who hopes to one day build a house in North Oak drives around in an armored car with bodyguards to protect himself from attacks. Meanwhile, Japantown has become a stronghold for the Yakuza families of Night City, and there are plenty of video game arcades.

Knight City is heavily influenced by Asia, especially Japan, and it was Asian companies that were largely responsible for rebuilding Westbrook and other areas destroyed in the 2023 nuclear attack.

Last week, it was Watson that stole the spotlight. Like Westbrook, it has changed dramatically over the past few years, but it is trending downward. Once a wealthy neighborhood with corporas, the suits have been replaced by gangs like Maelstrom and Tigerclaw. Apparently, it's a bad part of town.

Andy Kelly spent a few hours exploring Night City last month, so check out his Cyberpunk 2077 hands-on to see what he made of this flashy open world.
