The Overwatch Summer Games are back in 2020.

This year's event will introduce a "faster, more chaotic" game mode called Lucio Ball Remix, in which two balls will be played throughout the entire match. When a goal is scored, the ball respawns after a short pause, but players do not reset as usual and continue playing.

Bonus balls, equivalent to bonus points, will also spawn from time to time: new pillars and surfaces have been added in Busan, increasing wall-riding opportunities, while Sydney has a "massive jump pad surface".

Lucioball will also receive some mechanical updates for 2020.

As in previous years, players will be able to get limited-time sprays, icons, and Epic skins by winning Quick Play, competitive, or arcade games during the Overwatch Summer Games.
