Did you see the tweet from 3D Realms last week titled RD2020? Today, the mystery has been revealed, but it's not a reboot of Ruke Dukem as some have said: an online event taking place the weekend of September 5-6, with news and announcements from 3D Realms, 1C Entertainment, New Blood Interactive, Nightdive Studios, Running With Scissors, and more will be presenting news and announcements.

The event will feature former id Software employees John Romero, Tim Willits, American McGee, Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, veteran artist Chuck Jones, voice actor Jon St.

"Realms Deep 2020 gives us the opportunity to highlight what we are working on while showcasing all the badass projects our friends are making," said Frederik Schreiber, Vice President of 3D Realms.

"It's been a weird year, but we like to treat it as a great casual hangout with our fans and friends.

Exclusive event merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the event, and all donations will go to Child's Play, an international charity that brings toys and video games to children in hospitals. If you would like to do your bit for the children without cluttering your room with unwanted items, there is also a link to donate directly during each stream.

Realms Deep will be streamed on September 5 from 11am PT (2pm PT) to 4pm PT (7pm PT) and again on September 6 at the same time on 3D Realms' Twitch channel. Prior to that, Realms Deep's Steam sale will begin on September 3.
