Team-Based PvP Shooter "Rogue Company" Now Free to Play

Rogue Company, Hi-Rez Studios' "grunge-inspired take on the co-op PVP shooter" that began closed beta testing in July, is now in open beta on the Epic Games Store and completely free to play. This de facto launch adds a new character, Dahlia, to the fray. [Executive Producer Chris Lalon said, "Since launching in early access in July, we've gathered a huge community of over 2 million cross-platform gunslingers. 'Thanks to their invaluable feedback, the game just keeps getting better and better. We are very excited to have more players join Rogue Company by making the game free and adding more and more mercenaries, game modes, weapons, and gadgets.

"Rogue Company" supports cross-platform play between PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and Hi-Rez emphasizes that all DLC is strictly cosmetic and therefore not "play-to-win" Future plans, based on a roadmap released in July, include ranked battles, character and equipment mastery, an "advanced ping system," and of course, Battle Pass.

Jorge played Rogue Company in July and described it as a "casual, stress-free shooter" with the potential to become one of his regularly used competitive games. The matches go fast enough to test agents and strategies." Abilities and speed of combat make for a satisfying shootout, whether you win or lose." He wrote.

Rogue Company is completely free to play, but founder packs, which include characters, cosmetics, and "Rogue Bucks," are available for $15, $30, and $60. More information about the game can be found at roguecompany.com.
