Milla Jovovich and Meerkerchef to be buddies in "Monster Hunter" movie.

Paul W.S. Anderson's film "Monster Hunter" has been moved up from its scheduled 2021 release date and is now making more and more progress toward a December 30 release. So here's the information you're finally looking for: yes, the film will feature a palico. The Meerschuler Chef will be in the film. This information was released along with the new trailer above, which is an extension of the recent Diablos trailer.

So why, you might ask, has there not been a trailer featuring so many adorable cats? I have no idea. It seems like a good idea to push the film's potential multi-generational family appeal. What do you think?

At a panel at last week's New York Comic-Con, Anderson confirmed that an adorably anthropomorphic cat will be in the film." "You can't have a Monster Hunter movie without having Palico in it," he said, "so we're definitely leaning toward Palico. The fan-favorite and irrepressibly enchanting Palico, known as the Müsscüller Chef in "Monster Hunter: World," will also appear in the film. Anderson also hinted that, as per canonical history, the meerskuller chef will be the former partner of the admiral, played by Ron Perlman.

Also, apparently, Nyankulashev likes Milla Jovovich's character. Anderson describes their relationship as "rather flirtatious" and "really interesting," but I am not emotionally or mentally ready to comment.

I once called the film a "dumpster fire," but now I'm beginning to think it could possibly be an interesting, schlocky, good-natured dumpster fire. As always, I will continue to post about this film, even if they tell me to stop.
