Rambo is the latest guest combatant in Mortal Kombat 11 and will join the fray when he gets the DLC on November 17. Meanwhile, NetherRealm has released a new trailer that gives us a good look at this bloodthirsty veteran's fighting style. Click on the link above.

Though he's been through several wars and killed many men, Rambo seems a bit short-handed in a game that features timeless robots, necromancers, and three playable gods. But, of course, that's where he can make the most of it. [Rambo is armed with knives and a bow, but it is his guerrilla tactics that pose a threat. Along with explosives like mines and grenades, he has makeshift traps like spiked logs swung from invisible trees and rope traps that pull people off the ground, as depicted in the film.

He can also crawl on the ground and looks a bit silly in a close quarters brawl with no cover, but he knows what he's doing.

Unlike the Terminator, this digital Rambo's voice is not an impersonation. Sylvester Stallone lends his voice once again to one of his most famous characters, and it's a pretty good one. Perhaps a bit indifferent, but still very Rambo.

"Mortal Kombat 11" has held a deep hold on me since its release, so it was inevitable that I would get Rambo, which also features Rain and Milena, but I didn't think it would be as fun as characters like Spawn and Robocop. But after watching the trailer, I changed my mind. I also appreciated the hint at the end about how to cure a sore throat.
