Electronic Arts' big shift to Steam continues in November, with the long-awaited launch of Apex Legends coinciding with the kickoff of Season 7 on November 4.

The Steam version of Apex Legends will support cross-play, so you can play with your buddies on Origin and consoles (though connecting to console players will take a bit of work). [because anyone who logs in via Steam during Season 7 will receive a Half-Life and Portal-inspired gun charm. Who wouldn't want to dangle this sweet bead on their firearm in the middle of a heated battle?

EA hasn't said much about Apex Season 7 yet, but they did tease a new character in the Champion Edition trailer released last week (the one at the beginning of this article), and more recently there were teasers like this:

Leaks like Biast12 and Dataminer have raised suspicions that she may be a doctor named Horizon, but as we all know Respawn's fake-out modus operandi, we'll have to wait and see a bit more.

For now, Apex Legends is in the midst of its Fight or Fright event, with a Shadow Royale limited time mode on the Kings Canyon After Dark map and Halloween-themed cosmetics, challenges, and stand-alone featuring reward tracks. More details can be found on ea.com.
