In this must-see game technology experiment, you take the picture and walk into it.

Look, before we talk about this, watch the video:

Indie developer Matt Stark tweeted a video of his game idea on Twitter. It's what he calls the "Polaroid Effect," a nod to the once-common instant camera. The way this experimental game works is that the player takes a picture of a part of the environment with the camera and places the instant camera photo into the world as part of an interactive environment, physically transforming the surrounding world into a surrealistic photo collage. He first posted this concept in November 2019, but at the time did not even know if what he is doing now was possible. He stated at the time that "the effect is purely visual, the player cannot physically interact with it." Now it is clear that Stark's development is quite advanced. Stark has not stated what kind of game he would like to create with this concept, but his concept has 50,000 retweets and 150,000 likes! and the idea is definitely promising.

When "Portal" was first shown to the public, many people were amazed that they could look through a portal and see what was on the other side. I feel the same way about this work. Let me politely inform you that the main mechanics of the portal were conceived by game design students. Matt Stark is a game design student. The game project he has released so far is a free puzzle game for the Android store.
