Death Stranding, Control, and Outer Wilds Lead Nominations for 2020 Game Developer's Choice Awards

Yesterday, the finalists for the 2020 Independent Game Festival Awards were announced, led by indie game hits like Mutazione, Untitled Goose Games, and A Short Hike. Now it's time to take a look at the nominees for this year's Game Developers Choice Awards.

This time, "Death Stranding" leads the pack with seven nominations, followed by "Control" and "Outer Wilds" with five each; "Disco Elysium" has four nominations and "Untitled Goose Game" is also in the running for the IGF Award

"Sayonara Wild Hearts" and "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice," which won Game of the Year at The Game Awards in December 2019, have each been nominated in three categories.

The 20th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the IGF Awards on March 18 at 6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET and streamed live on Twitch. For the convenience of starting the discussion, here is the full list of nominees. And it is my own deep belief that Control should win them all, and the rest of you should go home and think about trying again next year:
