Fantasy air combat game "The Falconeer" gets better and better in new teaser

Who wouldn't want to ride into battle on a giant bird and engage in fantasy aerial combat against dragons, airships, and razorback beetles? I do, and probably you do, too. The last time I saw some of the indie game "The Falconeer" was after gamescom last year, and it has come a long way since then and looks great. Check out the game in action, courtesy of the developer.

The game is described as a classic dogfight game with an aerobatic twist, focusing on the unique abilities of the creatures over planes. The birds roll and spin, flip and tuck and dive, and move in very attractive ways. The way they move is indeed adorable, and The Falconeer centers on the eponymous pilot navigating an open world called Ulsey, performing tasks for his faction and choosing whether the rich and powerful, the poor and oppressed, or simply pirates, will be the rulers of the world The film depicts. Thomas Sala is a designer and developer at Amsterdam-based Falconia. From major developers like Guerrilla Games to super-indies like Sokpop Collective, it feels like the Netherlands is becoming a place to be noticed for interesting game design.
