"Battle Rally," which will be released later this month, is the first piece of DLC for the martial arts adventure Shenmue 3.

If you were expecting a continuation of the storyline or a deeper dive into unexplored aspects of the main game, you will be in for a shock. Battle Rally appears to be a racing mini-game of sorts, described by developer Ys Net as "a race unlike any other."

Available on the Epic store for about $6, the DLC allows you to play as Ryo Hazuki, his friend Wu Ying Ren, and Wei Zhen, who you may remember sparring with in Hakuryu Village. What this "one-of-a-kind race" will be like is a mystery, but apparently you can win items by participating.

The Battle Rally will be available for purchase on January 21.
