Monster Hunter: World Iceborn" sold 4 million units at PC launch.

"Monster Hunter: World," released last year on January 9 for consoles and PC: The PC version of the game was released on January 9, and with the release of the PC version, Capcom has shipped an astounding 4 million copies of the game.

"MHW:I has shipped 4 million units as a result of the title's January 9 PC release on the globally accessible Steam platform." Capcom stated." Together with sales of the home console version of the game, which was released in September 2019, the game was able to appeal to a broader fan base spread across more geographies."

The publisher did not provide a breakdown, but given the much longer launch of the game on consoles, that's probably where the bulk of the sales came from. However, it seems clear that there has been a resurgence of interest in the PC version, which is now being played by about the same number of players as at launch.

According to Steam Charts, Monster Hunter peaked at 284,000 players in the last 30 days, up over 200,000 from the previous month. The only month with more players was August 2018, which peaked at 329,333.

However, the launch of the PC version of Iceborne was not entirely smooth, with many players reporting performance issues and broken saves. Thankfully, the next update aims to address both of these issues, and we hope that disappointed hunters will feel better.

As for the base game, it boasts sales of 15 million units, so there are still plenty of people out there hunting new monsters in their winter clothes.
