A new gaming notebook brand has arrived at Walmart. Its name is Evoo Gaming, and following the 17-inch model introduced last week, a 15-inch configuration with a 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor and GeForce GTX 1650 is $649.
This is half the list price, but I would not recommend this collection of hardware for $1,299. However, the $649 price point is commensurate with what you are getting, and again, this is truly in the realm of a bargain.
Like the larger model, this 15" model boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate, and the display is claimed to be "tuned by THX. It also has 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB solid state drive.
The 17-inch model is more attractive (and still available), but if you prefer the 15-inch form factor, this is a bad buy. The only complaint is the low capacity of the SSD-256GB.
For the Evoo Gaming brand, Notebookcheck staff went hands-on with one of its laptops.
