Hearts of Iron 4: La Resistance" will allow you to build a spy network next month

Announced in October, Hearts of Iron 4: La Resistance allows leaders to leave the front lines and build their own spy network or assist the resistance in fighting the conquerors. They can even wear oversized sunglasses and attend secret meetings.

Intelligence agencies can create custom names and logos to train agents, who can then be sent on special operations or kept at home to counter enemy espionage. Agents can be trained in a variety of skills, such as information warfare, which they can then use to help friendly resistance cells. [These cells can appear in conquered territories, including territories you have devoured, damaging equipment or causing uprisings, forcing you to fight new units in normal combat.

They can also decipher codes to outwit opponents in battle, send reconnaissance units to obtain information, or send agents to turn enemies into collaborators, allowing for a smooth transition when they take formal power.

In addition to spy shenanigans, France has an additional focus tree, where you can revive the French monarchy or go for a Vichy government or Free France. Portugal also has a unique tree, where Portuguese leaders can choose to restore the country's naval power, strengthen an overseas empire, or get into the Spanish Civil War.

Speaking of civil wars, this DLC will reimagine the Spanish campaign, bringing a new focus to both the Republic and the Nationalist Party. The civil war will be on a larger scale, and it is said that it may even develop into a larger conflict.

La Resistance is available on Steam now and will be released on February 25.
