Frame Fatales, a women-only speedrunning event, returns in February

Good news for speedrunning fans suffering from post-AGDQ blues: the GDQ-affiliated speedrunning event "Frost Fatales" will kick off in February. Runners will be able to run "Hyper Light Drifter," "Spelunky," "Portal," "The Simpsons: Bart's House of Weirdness," "Ducktales Remastered," "Untitled Goose Game," and "Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness."

Frost Fatales is the winter return of Frame Fatales, a women-only speedrunning showcase first held in May 2019. While its debut event did not have a charity component, Frost Fatales will raise funds to support the Malala Fund, founded by Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai and dedicated to encouraging and supporting the education of women worldwide. The Awesome Games Done Quick, which ended earlier this month, raised a record $3.1 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Frost Fatales was actually announced earlier this month, but as Eurogamer noticed, the full schedule was only posted yesterday, starting with a pre-show on February 23 at 9am PT/12pm ET, and ending on February 29 at 8pm PT/11pm ET until 8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ET on February 29, live streaming from start to finish on Twitch.
