Earlier this month, Inkle, the studio behind 80 Days and Heaven's Vault, announced its next project by tweeting a list of seven words: sword, anguish, England, unfulfilled, forest, hope, and revenge. The list seemed appropriate for both the Legend of the Round Table and the Inkle's particular style of illustration storytelling.

Full disclosure: I may have stolen that insight from someone else. Regardless, it looks like I (they) were right.

That's the extent of the announcement, but in a follow-up response, Inkle said it was "premature" to promise a platform and that it would be "different" from previous games based on Arthurian legend.

The timing of the release and the phrase "Camelot has fallen" may also suggest the nature of the game: today is Brexit Day, the day that marks the UK's formal exit from the EU. It may be mere coincidence, but I would like to think not.
