Watch the first 10 minutes of "Doom Eternal" in 4K with gross footage.

Doom Eternal is just over a month away from its March 20 release, but some of us still want to pour our eyes full of devil's gruel in anticipation. Fortunately, IGN has released the first 10 minutes of the game in 4K 60fps.

As part of IGN's month-long IGN First coverage, the video offers a spoiler-filled look at the early game, including early cinematics and the weapons and secrets found early on. It also showcases the game's improved gore system, which satisfies by splattering you with a mass of demons every time you attack.

While IGN's video is mostly familiar demon slaying, "Doom Eternal" places more emphasis on stomping through levels than its predecessor. In addition to new weapons like the flamethrower and elemental grenade launcher, Mr. Doom is also equipped with a shotgun "meat hook" grapple. With it, he can move quickly through the level or use it offensively to draw enemies toward him for a kick.

Previews of the game looked very promising. While it has a linear feel that the original "Doom" didn't have, I was pleased with the gore and brutality while adding enough new elements to make it feel less like a rehash of the 2016 reboot.

Doom Eternal is scheduled for release on March 20, 2020. For more information, here is everything we know about Doom Eternal.
