Dan Hauser, who founded Rockstar Games with his brother Sam in 1998, is leaving the company. His future departure was revealed in an SEC filing today by parent company Take-Two Interactive.
"Dan Hauser, Vice President of Creative at Rockstar Games, will be leaving the company after an extended leave of absence beginning in spring 2019. Dan Hauser's last day of work will be March 11, 2020," the application states. 'We are extremely appreciative of his contributions. Rockstar Games has built one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful game worlds, a global community of enthusiastic fans, and an incredibly talented team that is focused on current and future projects."
A Rockstar representative said that Hauser's brother and Rockstar co-founder Sam Hauser's role at the company has not changed. More details may be forthcoming as Take-Two holds its quarterly earnings call on Thursday.
