The only person licensed to forge Witcher 3 swords may be extra busy this year.

Swordmaker Artur Visocki gets too many emails: more than 300 in the last few days, he says The Witcher on Netflix has renewed interest in The Witcher books and games; licensed from CD Projekt to forge swords based on the game's designs; and the and the only blacksmith to sell them, there will be more requests than usual.

Kaer Morhen Forge is Wysocki's hobby and side business; he keeps no inventory and makes weapons for a fee of 400 to 900 euros (about $440 to 990). Rune engraving and handmade scabbards are extra.

His "silver swords," such as the Mastercraft Wolven Silver Sword, are actually steel, but can be silver-plated: in January, he unveiled a sword with a 1 mm silver coating, which he says is "very shiny. Very shiny:

The swords are made to order and can be forged to a variety of specifications, including hardness, sharpness, and balance, from potentially lethal to a bad idea that does what it does but is still a bad idea to wield.

Wysocki is based in Katowice, Poland, but can ship internationally. As with swords, they will not be cheap and are subject to local regulations regarding monster-killing weapons.

Wysocki's swords, photographed by MichaƂ Sygut, can be seen on Kaer Morhen Forge's official website and Facebook page.
