This white version of the GeForce RTX 2080 Super should come with a dust filter.

I've thought about building an all-white PC a few times, but was dissuaded when I remembered that I'm not very good at cleaning my desktop on a regular basis. Still, now that Asus has announced the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Super White Edition, the temptation looms.

Whatever the color of the cooling shroud, the 2080 Super is one of the best graphics cards for playing games at 1440p and 4K resolutions at a fairly reasonable price (under $1,000). It is the second-fastest consumer GeForce card, supports real-time ray tracing, and won't feel slow for a while (although there may be buyer's remorse when the Ampere card comes out).

Asus' White Edition model runs at 1,650 MHz base clock and 1,860 MHz boost clock in default gaming mode. There is also an OC mode available that raises the boost clock to 1,890MHz. Both boost clocks are overclocked above Nvidia's reference clock of 1,815MHz

.

So basically, this is an overclocked 2080 Super with a white shroud and RGB lighting. In addition, Asus touts a three-fan cooling solution with the use of high-end power components, precision-machined plates that "have twice as much contact with the GPU," and axial-flow technology fans.

"Newly designed for the latest generation of top-end ROG graphics cards, these fans feature longer blades and smaller hubs that facilitate barrier ring for increased downward air pressure," Asus states.

Asus says this is one of several white-themed products it plans to release this year. The company showed off several upcoming products at CES, including coolers, cases, motherboards, and headphones. Just don't forget to stock up on dust filters for your chassis if you decide to go all white on your next build.

No word on when the white version of the RTX 2080 Super will be available or how much it will cost. For reference, Newegg has a non-white model for $789.99.
