2GB update for Warcraft 3: Reforged supports animations, hitches, etc.

It's been a "hard week" for Blizzard since the launch of Warcraft 3: Reforged, and a frustrating one for the very vocal community. However, a 2GB patch was released last night, removing bugs and resolving animation and performance issues that remained after the switch from beta to release.

It won't satisfy everyone, but it won't take more than one update.

Notably, animations, triggers, and cameras have been adjusted in some of the campaign cutscenes, along with animations of various units and buildings in the game.

There have been many reports of microstuttering, which I have noticed myself, but it is unclear if it has been fully addressed, but Blizzard has stated that they have "resolved the hitching issues during building construction and initial training of units."

Multiboards no longer cause crashes in custom games, and joining a lobby on the same map no longer creates duplicate versions. During the beta period, we had a lot of trouble creating custom games. This problem seemed to be resolved at launch, but has since returned. Sometimes they simply could not be created, but not consistently. Unfortunately, there is no mention of it in the patch notes.

Earlier this week, Blizzard announced that they are working on reintroducing leaderboards and clans in a major patch. More details on its progress and release date will be announced in the coming weeks.
