Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous" has reached its Kickstarter goal and has reached its stretch goal.

Owlcat Games follows Pathfinder: Kingmaker with another adaptation of the tabletop RPG campaign. Telling the story of a mythical hero who challenges a demonic ruler, closes the door to the Abyss, and leads a crusade, Owlcat has enough money to produce "Wrath of the Righteous," but has turned to Kickstarter to expand its budget and generate interest. The campaign page states:

"We have enough budget to bring the concept of 'Wrath of the Righteous' to life, but we want this game to be a truly epic experience. The game is built around the idea that one of six different mythological paths will transform the player's character into a powerful being with special abilities. It will also have a significant impact on story branching, changing the world around the character and affecting his or her relationships with peers and NPCs. This idea can be stretched further and further as the current budget allows."

They set their initial goal at $300,000 and have surpassed it with flying colors. As of this writing, they have raised over $780,000 and have released their stretch goal; the next goal, which will be unlocked for $845,000, will add an additional race for players to vote on, with either Ratfolk, Catfolk, or Foxes as an option. There are 31 days to go, so there will be more to be revealed.

Wrath of the Righteous also promises an enhanced tutorial for beginners on Pathfinder rules and a 360-degree rotating camera.

One of the stretch goals yet to be revealed may be a turn-based combat option, otherwise we will have to rely on modders again.
