The Omen X 2S features a bright 4K HDR display and a second 6-inch touchscreen display to control apps like Spotify and Youtube. Excessive? Absolutely. Convenient? It's debatable. If you work with a lot of media, this display alone might be worth buying. It also weighs about 5 pounds, which is on the light side for a workstation gaming laptop. Not a bad choice if you are a content creator who plays a lot of games on the go.

There is also the HP Pavilion 15t with Intel i7-9750H, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD for $721. Thanks to a promo code, the price is $721, which is a pretty good price for a system of this configuration.

While it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the Omen X, the Pavilion should be sufficient if you need a gaming laptop that has decent battery life and can handle home work.
