GTA4 returns to Steam on March 19 without multiplayer

Hey guys, Nico Bellick is coming back to town. Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto 4 will return to Steam on March 19, 2020. Both are victims of Microsoft ending support for Games for Windows Live (aka, the devil). [Radio stations RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM, and Vice City FM will also be temporarily unavailable, which is a shame since Vice City FM used to play 80s pop bangers like Hall & Oates' "Maneater." We will miss hearing Hall & Oates' "Maneater."

Those who already own GTA 4 can download the update starting March 19 and continue playing, as GTA 4 and its DLC, Episodes from Liberty City, will be replaced in the future by GTA 4: Complete Edition, The download is mandatory. It just combines the base game and DLC into one package. Existing save files should transfer to the new version without any problems. Expectations.

If you own the game on Steam or Rockstar Games Launcher, getting the download will be easy. However, if you own a physical copy, it's a bit more complicated. "To update a game previously activated using Games for Windows Live to Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition, you must create or link," Rockstar wrote on its Steam page. Rockstar writes on its Steam page.

If you have not yet activated GTA 4 on Games for Windows Live, you can get the new update by simply activating the key in the back of the manual. According to Rockstar, failure to do so may result in an interrupted download.
