General
Cyberpunk 2077" will be playable on GeForce Now on launch day.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on PCs and consoles in September, barring further delays. And when it does, it will also work with Nvidia's GeForce Now streaming platform.

"Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on GeForce Now on launch day," Nvidia wrote in a forum post. "GeForce Now members can get their copy on Steam and play the game the moment it becomes available, and GeForce Now Founders members can also explore the streets of Night City on their Mac laptops with the fully optimized and instantly available RTX ON. You can explore the city."

CD Projekt said last year that its Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on Google's game streaming platform Stadia at some point in 2020, but not until after its release on PC and consoles. That may have changed with Cyberpunk's release being pushed back from April to September, but no Stadia release date has yet been announced.

To be fair to Nvidia, the situation is not entirely equivalent: GeForce Now allows subscribers to use it to play games they own on other platforms, rather than purchasing them through their own storefront as Stadia requires enable them to do so. Be that as it may, if Cyberpunk 2077 can be played on GeForce Now instead of Stadia on launch day, that is a win for Nvidia.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on PC, consoles and GeForce Now on September 17. I contacted CD Projekt and Google to ask about a release date for Stadia.
