Bethesda Softworks games have been removed from GeForce Now.

Earlier this month, Activision withdrew games from Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service: essentially, Nvidia misunderstood the terms of the agreement granting access to games for the GeForce Now beta. It appears that another misunderstanding may have occurred, this time involving Bethesda Softworks.

"Today we are pleased to announce that most Bethesda Softworks titles will be removed from the GeForce Now service; Wolfenstein Youngblood will remain for all members," Nvidia announced in a GeForce Now forum Nvidia announced on the GeForce Now forums.

Nvidia declined to comment on the reason for the removal or the possibility of Bethesda's return, but a blog post uploaded yesterday suggests further removal is possible.

"Earlier this month, we passed a milestone in our cloud gaming journey by removing the waiting list and opening our doors to more gamers...By signing up for a free plan that includes a 90-day free trial or upgrading to a Founders membership, we have reached over 1 More than one million new gamers are now taking advantage of the cloud. This trial is an important transitional period during which gamers, developers, and publishers can try out the premium experience with minimal commitment, while we continue to improve our service."

"As we approach the paid service, some publishers may choose to remove their games before the trial period ends. Ultimately, publishers will control their content and decide if their purchased games will include streaming on GeForce NOW. In the meantime, other publishers will bring back games as they continue to recognize the value of GeForce Now.

Nvidia cited CD Projekt's recent announcement that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available through GeForce Now on launch day, citing "onboarding queues from publishers who share our vision of expanding PC gaming to more " with an additional 1,500 games, he said. But while GeForce Now is off to a fairly strong start, the withdrawal of major publishers like Activision and Bethesda from the platform creates a harmful uncertainty for potential subscribers: an entire library of publishers, lost without warning or reason is not something that would encourage people to sign up.

I contacted Bethesda and asked about the removal of their games (except Wolfenstein: Youngblood for some reason).
