Taiwanese Game 'Devotion' Removed from Steam, Saved by Harvard University

Devotion is a horror game by Taiwanese developer Red Candle that was controversially removed from Steam shortly after release for containing art that mocked Chinese President Xi Jinping. Devotion is no longer for sale, but thanks to Harvard University Preservation. The Harvard-Yenching Library, which houses the university's East Asian collection, has added Devotion and Red Candle's previous title, Detention (still available on Steam), to its collection.

Red Candle announced the news on Facebook, making it clear that they are not going anywhere on this occasion. 'We apologize for the concern we have caused the community over the past year. 'The current situation may not be ideal, but we are still here and nothing has changed.'
