After canceling matches in China last month, Blizzard has now decided to postpone its Overwatch League matches in Korea for another three weeks. This was in response to the continued spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. The Overwatch League made the official announcement on Twitter.

"To protect the health and safety of our players, fans and staff, we are canceling OWL 2020 matches (including home events) in South Korea during weeks 5, 6 and 7," the tweet read. This means that the Seoul Dynasty home matches scheduled for March 7-8 have been postponed indefinitely, likely because South Korea currently has the highest number of coronavirus cases outside of China, according to Vox. [The coronavirus has also had a major impact on the gaming industry outside of Overwatch: Oculus Quest headsets continue to be in short supply, and Valve has announced its intention to rectify the Index supply shortage ahead of Half-Life: Alyx's upcoming launch. In esports, PUBG Corporation canceled its first major event of the year, and the League of Legends League in China opted to postpone the second week of the LPL until it could "ensure the safety and health of players and fans."
