Rockstar knows that fans like to peruse all its activity for hints of new updates and new game announcements. Recently Reddit spotted several new logos appearing on Rockstar.com.

The first is a new background on the site's sidebar, with a golden robot hugging a shiny R* logo. The subject matter and art style, in particular, is not reminiscent of any of Rockstar's existing games, as far as I can tell.

The second logo provided an additional trigger of interest. The overlapping pattern of letters and numbers is irresistible to online detectives looking for encrypted clues.

This logo is embedded below this article so you can enlarge it yourself. The words "kill dreams, kill people, fight for justice, bully the weak," could be applied to many of Rockstar's works. And what about the vertical series of R* and period symbols to the right of the big R?

Perhaps it's just a branding refresh, but it's possible that Rockstar has something in store for the new generation of consoles coming this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rockstar takes advantage of the extra processing power, and as for the R* speculation, here's a rundown of all the GTA 6 rumors I've found so far.
