Bethesda was surprised by the lack of player interest in PvP in "Fallout 76"

While many players who have played the "Fallout" series have long suggested that there could be a co-op multiplayer option in future installments, the addition of player-versus-player combat in "Fallout 76" was not enthusiastically not received a warm welcome, although there wasn't that much to say about Fallout 76.

Pete Hines, Bethesda's senior vice president of global marketing and communications, told USGamer, "I think we were a little surprised at how few people wanted to participate in PvP and how many people were interested in PvE with us. PvP. I was a little surprised at how few people wanted to participate. Don't get me wrong, there are some who do, but I think it's a smaller percentage of the player base than we thought," Hines said.

Hines further explained that the "Wastelanders" expansion, which will be implemented in "Fallout 76" in April, is only the beginning of change, suggesting a reformation comparable to what was achieved in "The Elder Scrolls Online". We are on this path. This is not the end of the road. They have done a lot of work at the system level to build on what was possible in "Wastelanders" and use it for further content planned for the rest of this year and the next year and beyond.

We recently saw 17 minutes of gameplay in Wastelanders with NPCs. Below is everything we know about Fallout 76 Wastelanders.
