Decorate your desk with this huge 34" 1440p ultra-wide-angle curved gaming monitor for $850

"Should I buy a curved monitor?" is a very good question. Despite offering better viewing angles and color gamut, curved displays tend to be prohibitively expensive investments. For this reason, when I see a high-end curved display on the market, I tend to pay attention to it.

The Alienware AW3420DW normally retails for $1,499, but with the coupon code "EXTRA17" it drops to an attractive $849.99 on Dell's website. Not bad considering the last time we saw this low price was during Black Friday. That means a savings of about $200 to $300 off the listed price, depending on the retailer. [This AW3420DW is the successor to our current favorite gaming monitor, the AW3418DW. This 34-inch ultra-wide curved LED IPS panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz has a sleek design; it retains the trademark spaceship look of Alienware's products, but is less over-the-top and more aesthetically pleasing. It has a fairly wide color gamut (DCI-P3 98% coverage) and 16.78 million color depth with Nano IPS technology.

The response time of this G-Sync-enabled curved ultrawide monitor is 2ms, down from 4ms of the previous model, which is impressive considering its size and resolution. It also has a display mode for different types of games, increasing brightness for shooters and displaying oversaturated colors for RTS and RPG games. However, to appreciate what this product can do, you will need a gaming PC with sufficient performance.

The AW3420DW is a great ultrawide for gamers who want to immerse themselves in gaming; at $849.99, it is more accessible than other curved ultrawides of this size on the market.
