The Division 2: Warlords of New York" released a day early and buggy.

The Division 2: Warlords of New York was supposed to launch on March 3. We've said so many times, and in fact The Division's Twitter feed still says March 3. But somehow, at least for the non-Australian staff of PC Gamer, it was released on PC today, a day early. That's good news for Division fans eager to see the fight in New York City. The bad news, however, is that the rollout hasn't been entirely smooth.

After the update was released, many PC players began reporting serious problems, such as not being able to interact with community leader NPCs and echo errors upon login. Ubisoft reported on its forums that the Echo error was "a new issue that we have never encountered in this way before," but some progress was made toward a fix earlier today: three hours of "unscheduled maintenance" beginning at 12:30 am PT/3:30 am ET on March 3. Later, a more permanent fix is expected tomorrow.

Ubisoft is working on these issues:

Ubisoft warns that not all of these issues will necessarily be fixed in this update." We hope to roll these out during maintenance, but we cannot guarantee which fixes will go live at this time. We will update you on the status during maintenance."

The status of the echo error can be tracked in this Division 2 forum thread, where players who are unable to interact with the community leader NPCs can track progress. Meanwhile, Ubisoft has stated that restarting the game and fast-traveling through the safe house or house or switching to another area may resolve the issue.
