PUBG's "Vikendi" map has been overhauled and will soon return to the game.

PUBG's "Vikendi" map was removed at the end of January and replaced by the relatively small 64-player "Karain" map. However, fans of the sprawling, snow-covered map can rest assured that it will return when a revised version hits test servers this Thursday.

The news was confirmed on Twitter by PUBG community manager Hawkinz, who confirmed that this map will not replace the other maps currently in rotation, and that the train depicted in the screenshot above actually works Confirmed.

It appears that access will be restricted to custom games from PUBG partners during the testing period, which runs from Thursday at 11pm to Sunday at 11pm PT. According to a leak earlier this month, the new map will have much less snow than the previous version in Vikendi, and the old Dino Park will be expanded and renamed Dinoland. Naturally, railroads and trains will be added.

PUBG Corp recently detailed its ongoing efforts to fix various persistent problems with the game, from crashes to cheats. Meanwhile, a new Team Deathmatch mode will be added when the long-awaited 6.2 update is implemented.

Cheers, loadout.
