Bungie adds more ways for "Destiny 2" players to maximize their power.

The new season of Destiny 2 starts next week. It is by no means weak, is what I'm trying to say. Many changes and adjustments have been revealed throughout, but perhaps the most far-reaching change over previous seasons is that the number of Pinnacle reward sources is slated to increase.

The new soft cap of 1,000 power can still be achieved with powerful engram rewards. And the hard cap (which will be 1,010) will be achieved by Pinnacle sources as usual. Previously, it was limited to a very few activities: the Garden of Salvation raid, Heresy Hole dungeon, Nightfall, High Score of Ordeal, Master Engram, Pinnacle Source: High Score of Ordeal, Master Nightmare Hunts, Iron Banner, and the soon to be discontinued Legendary Sundial.

However, at some point in the "Season of the Worthy" update scheduled for mid-season, completion of weekly Crucible, Strike, and Gambit Challenges will also award Pinnacle Drops. This is significant because, until now, solo players could only realistically achieve pinnacles from the match-made Iron Banner playlist, which appears only once a month. With more sources, achieving the maximum level would be much easier. Perhaps solo players will not need to achieve the maximum level, but that hardly matters, and players will want to achieve that large number if presented with it.

While the new seasonal artifacts could supplement the base power, the community outcry over Iron Banner and the resurrected Trials of Osiris would nullify that bonus." Since the "Season of the Worthies" has already been certified and released, the artifact's power cannot be disabled during the first weekend of "trials. This effectively means that anyone who can poop out during the first week of "Season of the Worthy" will have a significant power advantage for one weekend. Streamers, enjoy the show.

Other updates planned for the launch of Season of the Worthy are disparate and varied. Bright Engram loot boxes will be removed from the Eververse microtransaction store and will instead be stocked with a rotation of specific items. Old Faction Rally armor will be added to the world drop loot pool. The probability of getting higher stats from prime engrams and exotic armor will be increased. There are a series of changes to exotic armor, including a slight nerf to Controverse Hold, reducing its damage reduction from 40% to 20%. In addition, a new classification system has been added to the quest screen, and comma separators have been added to the number of glimmers in the loot stream.

A full preview of Exotic is below; Season of the Worthy will appear on March 10 at 10:01am PDT.
